Door Alarms
STI’s Exit Stopper series is a unique and highly effective way to alert users to any unauthorised exits or entries through emergency exit doors. These door alarms help improve security, discourage misuse of protected exits and provide a simple alarm-based deterrent that can also support theft prevention and door monitoring in public and commercial buildings.
What This Product Group Covers
Door alarms are used on emergency exits, protected access doors and other openings where unauthorised use should be immediately indicated by a local warning device. Unlike a simple passive sign, a door alarm gives an audible and visual response, helping staff react quickly when a door is opened without authorisation.
On the FUMARO page, the door alarm range is focused on the Exit Stopper series, including both standard and wireless solutions. These devices are positioned not only as emergency exit alarms, but also as cost-effective security devices for doors, cabinets, extinguishers and other protected assets when used with external switches or reed contacts.
Main Product Types
The FUMARO page presents two core versions within this category.
Exit Stopper
Standard emergency door alarm for unauthorised exits or entries through protected doors.
Wireless Exit Stopper
Door alarm with remote wireless monitoring for emergency exits and security-related openings.
Exit Stopper
The Exit Stopper is described as a unique and highly effective way to alert users to any unauthorised exits or entries through emergency exit doors. It can also serve as an inexpensive security device and may help prevent theft. According to the page, it is available in red or green and can be mounted on almost any type of door, including arrangements where the sounder is placed remotely.
If the protected door is opened, the unit emits an alarm for a configurable duration: 30 seconds, 3 minutes or continuous, depending on the user setting. A key-operated override allows authorised passage, and when the door is closed, different reset options are available, including automatic reset.
Wireless Exit Stopper
The Wireless Exit Stopper extends the concept of the standard unit by adding remote wireless monitoring. It is described as a highly effective emergency door alarm that emits a 95/105 dB alarm when the protected door opens and also sends a wireless signal to a compatible STI receiver.
The page states that the device operates up to 300 m line of sight at 433 MHz. This makes it suitable for installations where local alarm indication is not enough and remote notification is also required. Additional features highlighted on the page include a flashing beacon alarm, low battery indicator and dual-language warning instructions.
