The Universal Stopper is an indoor and outdoor, low profile or dome polycarbonate covers that protects devices such as manual call points, emergency buttons and dual action pull stations etc., without restricting legitimate operation.
The versatile cover can serve as a push button, pull station, electrical device or call point cover. The Universal Stopper offers excellent protection against physical damage (both accidental and intentional), dust and grime as well as harsh environments inside and out. Mounting options 0 & 1 are designed to meet the requirements of IP54, option 6 & 7 IP56 (Sealed Mounting Plate with option 6 provides IP66 protection).

When used on fire systems, Universal Stopper is intended for areas where the incidence of false fire alarms from manual call points is high or has proven to be a serious problem. Any disadvantage of the device is more than balanced when one considers the consequences of false fire alarms, especially if fire service personnel and equipment are responding to a false fire alarm when they are needed for a real fire somewhere else. Add to this the disruption to the facility when false alarms occur. The Weather Stopper II consists of a clear, tamperproof, tough polycarbonate cover, frame and weather gasket that retrofits over the existing device. The weather gasket seals the unit preventing dust, grime and water from getting to the device. In the event of an emergency, simply lift the cover to gain access to the protected device.

HOW IT WORKS
The Stopper II consists of a clear, tamperproof, tough polycarbonate cover and frame that retrofits over the break glass call point. When lifted to gain access to the break glass, its optional battery powered integral sounder emits a piercing 95 dB or 105 dB (at 1 metre). Immediate attention is drawn to the area and the prankster will either run or be caught.
